Who in the world is Liv Ramirez?
Liv Ramirez is a New Mexico-born writer. She specializes in game scripts, narrative design, comic writing, short- and long-form features, novels, and poetry collections.
She was raised in a creative family, amongst creatives and storytellers across many disciplines, including jewelers, historians, stained-glass artisans, digital and traditional artists, and woodworkers.
From a young age, Liv’s mother encouraged her to explore creativity, fostering all of her hobbies, even the weird ones (like woodcarving and ceramics). Much of Liv’s passion for creating comes from the fires her mom stoked when she was a kid.
She’s been a writer for over two decades. She chose to pursue storycraft after reading Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke at five years old. Since then, she’s worked on non-fiction and fiction stories, published two poetry anthologies under a pseudonym, and completed two degree programs fostering that passion.
While attending the University of New Mexico, Liv studied a wide range of styles and subjects across her English degree pathway, including all three creative writing courses and intersectional classes on Chicana Literature. She graduated summa cum laude in May 2018.
After a few years of working on a professional track as a project coordinator for an outdoor recreation equipment and construction company, she decided to pivot into a creative industry. She attended the Vancouver Film School’s Writing for Television, Film, and Games program, where she graduated with honors in December 2023.
Now, she’s looking to start down the collaborative pathway of writing for the novel, film, and games industries.
