Song of Sparrows - Unreal Engine Level & Environmental Design

Objective: Find the innermost sanctum of the sanctuary.

An adventurer pursues whispers of her allies hiding inside a sanctum at a long-abandoned sanctuary.

This 8-minute exploration of 3 different pathways built inside Unreal Engine 5 shows the story of an adventurer navigating through an ancient and abandoned temple. This level was designed to give players the most open-world freedom possible and was built in 6 weeks during the Environmental Design course at Vancouver Film School. With the use of free assets, I built this level to mimic ancient tombs and evoke a feeling of old-world magic, including the replication of overgrown land and broken pathways.
